<div>Australasian Aquaculture 2012 has been the premier aquaculture event in the Asia Pacific</div><div>region for almost a decade now.</div><div>The inaugural Australasian Aquaculture Conference and Trade Show, hosted by NSW</div><div>Fisheries took place in 2004 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre. Since then,</div><div>the event has been held biennially in capital cities near the major aquaculture production</div><div>regions of Australia.</div><div>Skretting Australasian Aquaculture 2012 will take place at the Melbourne Convention and</div><div>Exhibition Centre, the only 6 Star Green Star Convention Centre in the world. As usual the</div><div>Executive Committee is dedicated to offering new initiatives, a stimulating Program and</div><div>ample networking opportunities.</div><div>Australasian Aquaculture; now hosted and managed by the National Aquaculture</div><div>Council (NAC), and partnered by the World Aquaculture Society, Asian Pacific Chapter,</div><div>has continued to gain momentum across the years and looks set to continue to do so as it</div><div>heads towards World Aquaculture in 2014.</div><div>World Aquaculture will be hosted by the city of Adelaide. A city and state that is</div><div>renowned for the manufacture of high quality aquaculture produce.</div><div>The Adelaide Convention Centre was ecstatic to ‘Land Aquaculture’s Big Fish’, with the</div><div>four-day event estimated to see 3000 visitors and 200 exhibitors from around the globe in</div><div>attendance.</div><div>With the 2012 theme of ‘The Next Ten Years’, the upcoming Conference and Trade Show</div><div>will focus on the future direction of the aquaculture industry over the next ten years and</div><div>will celebrate the industry’s environmentally sustainable credentials. Who knows what lays</div><div>at the other end of the aquaculture rainbow…maybe a ‘pot’ of seafood gold?</div>
