Dr John Beusterien discusses King Philip II's fascination with animals, which contributed to the ideological foundation of the Anthropocene. Philip II created a museum and theater of the world at the Escorial, molding animals into his own interpretation of a Spanish ecosystem. Beusterien's work focuses on environmental humanities and classical Spanish theater, as well as developing Lubbock Waters to educate about the southern high plains ecosystem.

The focus will be on understanding the factors that affect children and young people, the significance of their living environments, and how professionals can listen to their experiences to better support them in reaching their potential. The day aims to help professionals improve their approaches in addressing the impact of attachment and trauma.
