Designing an optical sensor requires deep knowledge of optical, material, and environmental properties. The meeting covers broad topics and themes suitable for researchers at any stage. Additionally, the use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is explored. The meeting is divided into subcommittees chaired by experts in the field. The subcommittee for Optical Biological and Chemical Sensors includes Filiz Yesilkoy, Tanya Hutter, Foozieh Sohrabi, Nikita Toropov, and Peter Zijlstra. The subcommittee for Optical Fiber Sensors includes Katerina Krebber, Xin Lu, Sonia Martin-Lopez, Ali Masoudi, Aldo Minardo, Yonas Muanenda, and Carmen Vazquez.
