The event's theme is "Harnessing Knowledge, Building Momentum." We chose this theme because "momentum" was a popular term at UIC. The reintroduction of Medicinal Cannabis into Australia has faced challenges, but now there is progress and potential for a stronger industry, improved healthcare awareness, and better patient access. The symposium will explore this sector with experts from around the world and Australia. The program has expanded to include more areas of interest, including a specific program for pharmacists. The event will be held in a spacious venue and is expected to attract over 600 delegates and 70 exhibitors over three days. There will be a two-day Industry program, a one-day Nursing Program, two-day Research and Medical Program, Pharmacists and HCP programs, as well as two networking events: a welcome function and a gala dinner/dance.
On behalf of United in Compassion (UIC), The Australian Medicinal Cannabis Association (AMCA) and the Society of Cannabis Clinicians Australian Chapter(SCCAC), I am excited to invite you to attend the 2023 Australian Medicinal Cannabis Symposium to be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from the 11-13 August, 2023. Our theme for the event is "Harnessing Knowledge, Building Momentum". We chose this theme as 'momentum' was the buzz word that I kept hearing throughout UIC 2022. There was a great atmosphere with many excited speakers, delegates and sponsors who were genuinely thrilled to be gathering to talk all things medicinal cannabis. It was such a delight to see, and we hope to build further on that excitement.
