Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers will host the Colorado Gold Writers Conference at the Hyatt Regency Aurora-Denver. Founding members will attend, speak, and offer workshops. Head to the Apple BBQ Festival in Silver Lake for two days of live music, food vendors, kids' activities, arts and crafts, a classic car show, and more. Don't forget to try the apple pie and locally grown apples.

The Rogue Credit Union Cranberry Festival is a yearly event that celebrates local cranberry farming through educational activities, entertainment, and fun for all ages. This family-friendly weekend includes a parade, festival market, live music, contests, a kids area, and food vendors. It is a long-standing tradition in our community, serving as an exciting introduction to our town. The festival has been bringing families together for 77 years, offering a variety of activities such as an evening street dance. The festivities begin with the Cranberry Queen coronation, followed by pre-festival activities like the Cranberry Kitchen contest and local high-school volleyball and football games. The day kicks off with the annual Cranberry Parade.

Participants can opt to either run the 5K race or partake in the 5K recreational walk in Arcola, Illinois. The course includes police escorts, aid stations, and split times. Top finishers in each age group receive awards, while plaques are given to the overall winners. Door prizes will also be available through a drawing (attendance required to win).

PHOTOFAIRS New York showcases photography and new media from emerging to iconic artists. The contemporary art fair focuses on image-making, digital media, and innovative practices with a strong curatorial approach. The fair will take place at The Javits Center in Manhattan.

The Expanded Animation Symposium, organized by Hagenberg Campus and Ars Electronica, will be held as part of the Ars Electronica Festival. It has grown from a one-day event to a three-day affair with multiple tracks and exhibitions. The symposium will continue in a physical venue and speakers will be announced soon. The symposium includes seven distinct tracks: the Prix Forum, Artist Position, Art & Industry, Performative Acts, Virtual Stages, Synaesthetic Syntax conference, and the ASIFA Austria Forum.
