Agriculture is vital for developing countries and rural communities. M&E tools are crucial for successful ARD projects, but agriculture is complex and faces the challenge of feeding the world while protecting the environment. This course teaches M&E skills for ARD to researchers, project staff, and decision makers.

This program teaches logistics concepts and procurement techniques for satisfaction. Participants will learn terminology, models, and techniques, and receive templates for daily procurement use. Manuals and materials are included, and the fee covers tuition and refreshments.

This course uses value chain analysis and market-based solutions to meet the needs of businesses. It helps identify markets, relationships, and challenges that hinder growth. The goal is to equip participants in developing sustainable value chains. The course targets professionals in agriculture, NGOs, government, and anyone interested in value chain development. Experienced trainers deliver the course through practical activities, theory, group work, and case studies.

Customized training courses for institutions are available for a minimum of 4 participants. The training can be held at our center or a convenient location. The Sendai Framework focuses on preventing and reducing disaster risk. It was adopted in March 2015 at a UN conference in Sendai, Japan. The course is suitable for government officials, disaster management professionals, funding agency workers, and those in research and non-government organizations. The training includes presentations, practical exercises, online tutorials, and group work. A certificate from the Indepth Research Institute (IRES), certified by the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA), will be awarded upon completion.

However, there are significant gaps in international development systems that hinder coordination of these efforts. By integrating contingency planning and business continuity planning into organizational processes, standardized tools can be established to enhance multi-hazard emergency preparedness. This involves ensuring that individuals and organizations are equipped with the necessary knowledge, systems, and tools to respond promptly and effectively to disasters. The training aims to improve understanding of contingency planning, including the development of practical, results-oriented, participatory, and realistic plans supported by preparedness actions.

This training course focuses on using statistics methods in spatial data analysis, specifically in geoscience with a focus on oil and gas exploration. It covers geospatial analysis using Excel for initial research and introduces advanced concepts using free R software. The course aims to help professionals in data analysis, geologists, and oil and gas professionals overcome the limitations of off-the-shelf software and enhance their ability to apply their knowledge and expand the models used. It emphasizes the use of free or low-cost software to extend the capabilities of commercial software and encourages professionals to think creatively without constraints.

This workshop aims to equip African scientists with the skills to effectively communicate their research findings and influence policies for sustainable development and poverty reduction. It is designed to train scientists in writing scientific papers and effectively communicating with policy makers, media, beneficiaries, implementers, and civil society. The course can be customized for scientists, researchers, program managers, and officers in development organizations who have little experience in communicating development-related research. The training also includes basic media skills and teaches researchers how to effectively conduct media interviews. Additionally, there is a track on leveraging ICT for peer-to-peer communication, providing practical approaches and examples of using social media, creating dynamic websites, and e-newsletters.

This course focuses on collecting, analyzing, and evaluating spatial information for risk assessment of natural and human-induced hazards. It includes case studies from various countries and exercises on hazard profiling and acquiring data. Theory covers elements at risk classification and population information.

The course covers recommended workflows and focused GIS solutions to streamline field data collection and improve customer service.

Constant innovation and updating processes are crucial for sustainable profitability. Agent Based Simulation modeling allows for effective change implementation without interrupting production, identifying and addressing problems and risks early on. This training course is for professionals in data analysis, oil and gas exploration, project management, field development, and petroleum engineering.

Advancements in technology have revolutionized research methods, particularly in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E). Mobile Data Collection (MDC) is one such advancement, allowing data to be input directly into a device and exported to a centralized database. EpiCollect is a tool that enables data collection using Android devices and submission to an online server. This training will provide participants with the necessary skills to utilize EpiCollect for mobile data collection. The course is taught by experienced trainers and includes a combination of practical activities, theory, group work, and case studies.
