Biodiversity is a term related to various life on earth. Biodiversity is all the wealth that exists on earth consisting of species diversity, biodiversity, genetic variation within one species, and diversity of communities. Biodiversity is not evenly distributed, but varies widely across the world and within regions, the diversity of which is highly dependent on environmental factors such as temperature, rainfall, altitude, soil geography, and the presence of other species. The 2nd Biennial Conference of Tropical Biodiversity is organized by the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University Makassar. This conference is a scientific forum to enhance science and technology, and together with researchers, scientists, practitioners, and scholars to anticipate the impacts of climate change in the field of biodiversity. This is also conducted in order to promote Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This training course examines the practical application of new technologies in disaster response, including communication and mapping tools. It uses real case studies to illustrate the use of ICT in disaster management. The course is beneficial for professionals in disaster management, including decision makers, planners, and officials in housing, public works, government, and NGOs. It also includes case studies on the use of social media in response to earthquakes in Haiti and Nepal, as well as Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

The course "From Policy to Practice of Disaster and Emergency Management Planning" analyzes planning theories and research to establish criteria for best practices and develop plans for mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery. It is designed for senior-level executives and experienced leaders responsible for these plans. Participants come from a variety of medium to large organizations and attend to learn about best practices in disaster and emergency management planning. Payment for the CPSPD Emergency Management program is required upon acceptance into the program, with a 30-day payment window for invoice receipt. If admission is within 30 days of the program start date, payment is due upon receipt of the invoice.
