Planetary nebulae, found at the intersection of stellar and galactic evolution, play a crucial role in the chemical evolution of galaxies. The intricate shapes of these nebulae have been extensively studied in hydrodynamics, applicable to various fields. Additionally, planetary nebulae are linked to the study of transients through their central stars, which often consist of close binaries. They have also been utilized for outreach, publicity, and education purposes. Observations of planetary nebula populations at considerable distances have allowed for the measurement of star velocities in regions dominated by dark matter, and they provide insights into the formation of diffuse light in galaxy clusters.
