The first Petrospot Transparency in Bunkering Forum took place at LISW 2021, allowing panelists and delegates to explore transparency in the marine fuel supply chain. Topics discussed included licensing, mass flow meters, fuel quality, pricing, credit, due diligence, financial reporting, trade insurance. The Forum will address these themes again at LISW 2023, taking into account a changing world with geopolitical tensions, economic challenges, sanctions, shifting trade patterns, and increasing environmental regulations. At LISW 2023, the Transparency in Shipping and Bunkering Forum will unveil an ESG index specifically for shipping, developed through three years of independent academic research and collaboration with shipping ESG experts, aiming to harmonize reporting mechanisms and enhance transparency.
