The government aims to construct 10,524 km of railway lines, including high-speed trains to Surabaya. Jakarta is prioritizing its city railway system with LRT and MRT projects. MRT Jakarta Phase-2 is being built with a target completion date, and Phase-3 (87 km line) will begin construction soon.
