International Conference of the World Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology, taking place at Chennai, India. The theme for the WAAVP conference will be "Parasites; Global Impacts, Local Solutions", which is the need of the hour, with particularly parasites playing a big role in affecting and impacting the health and production of livestock, companion animals, poultry and wild animals. The theme has been coined targeting the global problem caused by parasites and the ways and means to combat such a problem through scientific deliberations during the conference so as to understand and know the practical application of the technologies developed for implementation.
