In a world where biodiversity and ecosystem services are at risk, business as usual is no longer possible. Understanding how ecological and social-ecological systems respond to change is crucial for better management. The European Conference on Ecological Modelling, ECEM, invites contributions that support transformation, including strategies and models that improve response mechanisms, model evaluation, model-data fusion, sensitivity analysis, upscaling, and transferability. Other aspects such as management scenarios, social-ecological systems, transparency, reproducibility, theory implementation, and multi-modelling synthesis are also welcomed. Any contribution advancing ecological modelling is appreciated.
