The recent update to the NHS Mental Health Report revealed an 8% increase in children with probable mental health disorders. Early intervention and crisis support are crucial to prevent long-term harm. Collaboration between sectors is necessary to meet the growing demand for wrap-around support. Sharing guidance and best practices will improve access to services and outcomes for children and young people's mental health. Currently, over 60% of those with diagnosable mental health conditions do not receive NHS care. According to the Children's Commissioner's 2021 Big Ask Survey, 20% of 9-17 year olds expressed unhappiness with their mental health. The 2022 CYMPHS Workforce Census indicated a 46% rise in staffing.
