Save The Soil"Climate change is one of the greatest threats that humanity has ever faced. Even in its early stages, we have seen its tragic consequences in Africa. Yet there seems to be a dearth of practical solutions. Without question, the world must transition to renewable energy, but making that transition, even at the rate of the most optimistic projections, won't be fast enough to stabilize the climate. In addition to renewable energy, we must draw down carbon from the atmosphere and replenish the depleted stores of carbon in the soil where it enhances fertility, boosts productivity, and creates drought resilience. Agriculture can be a driving force to mitigate climate change by adopting carbon farming practices. Following the success of last year's conference, which paved the way for discussions and debates that achieved a multitude of outcomes and strategies around how to manage soil through low carbon practices and technologies ensuring sustainability.
South African Sugar Technologists Association Congress promotes the exchange of scientific knowledge related to sugarcane agriculture and sugar milling practice. It is a premier event that receives significant recognition from both within South Africa and internationally. During the congress, high-quality scientific papers and presentations showcase significant scientific and technological advancements in the industry.
The Adoption of Regenerative Practices To Future Proof The Livestock Industry"Join Empire Conferencing as we embark on a 3-day intensive conference and study tour on improved strategies for raising livestock for sustainable food security .Supporting livestock farming development in South Africa is primarily intended to generate income and meet the growing demand for animal sources of protein for South Africa’s growing population. Sustainable production of high-quality animal proteins for a growing world population is the key challenge for the livestock industry in the future. In 2050, resilient and healthy animals need to produce enough animal proteins in a resource-efficient and societally accepted way to feed the world’s population. Animal breeding relies on research and development and on long-term commitment to meet the changing consumer demands to increase efficiency in the food chain, to reduce the ecological footprint, to minimize the use of antibiotics, and to contribute to food safety, and to better health and welfare of livestock.
