A workshop will discuss the tribology of frictional braking interfaces for road and rail vehicles, focusing on airborne wear emissions that can harm human health. The use of coated materials and the effects of different interface conditions will be considered. The workshop is relevant for brakes engineers, tribologists, materials and environmental scientists.
