Irish Celtic, is the story of Paddy, this old alcoholic Irish owner of the pub for several decades. He is about to bequeath to his son Diarmuid, but the latter, and lazy carefree, prefers dancing than serving good "Guinness" or "alcohol of life" (Wisky) to customers of Irish Celtic Pub. But before becoming owner, Diarmuid has to learn the history and culture of his country. For nearly two hours, in the decoration of its pub, Paddy, between two glasses, will tell him his story, that of the Emerald Isle and its legends, the story that made the dance a principle, a lifestyle across generations 7 to 77 years. Illustrated by various tables all the more authentic than the other, the stories of Paddy, full of antics and anecdotes, will lead us on a fabulous journey, enriched by the explosive tap, beautiful music, choreography and costumes that accurate vary from one period to another! Stories full of emotions also like these Irish hopeful in the holds of the Titanic in 1912, or those of Baveheart, the last Mohican of ..... On behalf of Legal Week I am delighted to announce the launch of the preliminary programme for the 2011 Legal Week Independent Law Firms Forum. Having chaired the forum for three years, I am also pleased to reveal that my colleague, Alex Novarese, editor of Legal Week, has agreed to chair this coming forum. With the immediate impact of the financial crisis fading, independent law firms are now intent on planning for a new, extremely challenging business environment. They will need to continue to boost their own operational efficiency and they will need to explore new ways of delivering legal services to an ever-more demanding client base. The most confident law firms will also be targeting new markets and opportunities, both on their home territory, but also in the world's high-growth economies.

The 30 November–2 December session at Bordeaux-Lac Exhibition Centre was unusual in several ways: it endorsed the successful amalgamation of Vinitech and Sifel (with a corresponding increase in visitor numbers), although a surprise guest in the form of early snowfalls threatened to disrupt the event. But by the time this first joint exhibition for the wine and fruit & vegetables sectors closed its doors, everyone involved in bringing the two together agreed that “the graft had taken well”, exceeding all expectations for this first session.
