TOC Container Supply Chain: Europe returns to Antwerp on 12-14 June 2012 to explore the most pressing issues of the day for users and providers of container logistics and transport around the globe. At the macro level, prolonged volatility in world economic and financial markets, sovereign debt and sluggish performance in the mature West plus the accelerating role of Asia and other emerging economies as drivers of global production and consumption are creating significant new dynamics for the forecasting, planning, costing and timely execution of container supply chain flows.  Added to this are critical challenges and questions for the global container transport pipeline, including the systemic impact of mega-vessels, the need to address port capacity and landside infrastructure constraints around the world, ongoing fluctuations in fuel prices and freight rates, and enduring concerns over the underlying financial resilience of the world shipping industry. How to minimise downside risks, capitalise on new opportunities and safely navigate through an era of unprecedented global change and uncertainty will be a central theme of discussion at TOC Container Supply Chain: Europe 2012. One thing is certain: the need for open dialogue, improved understanding and closer collaboration across the whole container supply chain has never been more important. Bringing together cargo owners, 3PLs, carriers, port, terminal and landside logistics providers, financiers and other key players, the annual gathering - now in its 37th year - will once again provide a timely platform to explore the global outlook and debate the new strategies, skills, relationships and technologies needed to keep world container trade moving, efficiently and sustainably. An enhanced knowledge programme for 2012 will provide attendees with a high-level 2-day conference featuring the latest thinking from senior practitioners and analysts, complemented by focused seminars, workshops and debates in the expanded TOC Innovation Forum.
