2011 sees launch at the EPMT fair of “Swiss Medical Technologies”, all set to become the Medtech annual meeting place in Switzerland. As of the 2011 edition (24th – 27th May), the organisers of the international EPMT fair (Professional Environment for MicroTechnologies) will be joining forces with the Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), along with BioAlps, Micronarc, A3P Suisse and the Medical Cluster and other associations, to highlight one of the most dynamic, high-powered economic sectors in Switzerland: Medtech. Switzerland, internationally synonymous with high-precision and quality, leads the world in many sectors of the industry and has long needed a Fair, or showcase in which to display its know-how on the subject. The goal is to draw together all specialist exhibitors in the medical device industry and the entire technology logistics chain devoted to medical equipment, and to become the industry’s own meeting place for all players in that chain, from R&D to subcontracting, and already highly-renowned companies to innovative start-ups. The industry is thus all set to see the launch of the “Swiss Medical Technologies” Pavilion, destined to grow in scale and to become the Medtech sector’s very own annual meeting place in Switzerland.
