Before intervening in a country, development actors need to analyze the food security status. Various analyses are conducted to understand food security. Some actors form partnerships to establish Food Security Monitoring Systems (FSMS) for continuous monitoring. This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to analyze food security concepts. It is designed for UN partners, governments, NGOs involved in policy-making, program creation, and partnering with WFP to fight hunger. It is also relevant for agricultural extension officials, finance corporations, and research agencies. The course incorporates practical activities, theory, group work, and case studies.
