The Chequamegon Bay holds a special place for artists, whether they choose to reside there or visit for inspiration. The annual Bayfield Festival of Arts celebrates this connection, showcasing a diverse array of artwork inspired by the natural wonders of the area. Held in Memorial Park, visitors can expect to find a unique selection of pottery, painting, jewelry, sculpture, glass works, wood carvings, photography, and more. Artists who draw inspiration from Lake Superior will be recognized with a "Lake Superior Inspired" badge for their booth and will also be featured in the festival directory.
